Five-star housebuilder Cruden Homes has been shortlisted in the Private Developer of the Year - Medium category at the prestigious Homes for Scotland Awards for its King’s View development in Glasgow’s southside.
The nomination recognises excellence in residential development and placemaking across Scotland’s homebuilding sector.
Located just two miles from Glasgow city centre, King’s View forms part of the long-term regeneration of Toryglen. Over the past decade, Cruden has delivered nearly 400 homes at the development, helping transform the area into a thriving new residential community.
The latest phase includes contemporary two and three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached homes built to the Glasgow Gold Standard, incorporating energy-efficient features such as air-source heat pumps to support more sustainable living.
In addition to the King’s View shortlist, Cruden has also been recognised in the Affordable Development of the Year category for its work in partnership with Wheatley Group at West Craigs Phases 4 and 5 in Edinburgh, further demonstrating the breadth of the company’s delivery across both private and affordable housing.
Fraser Lynes, CEO at Cruden, said:
“We are delighted that King’s View has been shortlisted for this year’s Homes for Scotland Awards.
“King’s View has been a significant development for our team over the past decade, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact the regeneration has had in Toryglen.
“The shortlist recognition reflects the hard work of our team and partners, as well as the strong demand we have seen from buyers who are drawn to the quality of the homes and the location.”
The Homes for Scotland Awards celebrate excellence across the country’s homebuilding industry. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 15 May at the EICC in Edinburgh.
