Cruden Homes, one of Scotland’s leading 5-star house builders, is seeking a skilled and motivated Painter & Decorator to join our Customer Care team serving East Central Scotland. As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of finish across our properties, contributing directly to the satisfaction of our clients and the reputation of Cruden Homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting quality checks in properties prior to handover
- Performing snagging works to meet required standards
- Preparing surfaces (e.g., removing old paint, filling holes/cracks, Ames taping)
- Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes
- Cleaning tools, replacing fixtures, and resetting spaces post-project
- Carrying out defect repairs in occupied properties
- Collaborating with other trades (e.g., joiners, electricians, plumbers)
- Liaising with clients to ensure work meets expectations
Working Relationships:
- Internal: Customer Care Team, Sales Team, Site Management
- External: Customers, Housing Associations/Tenants, Sub-Contractors
- Reporting to: Customer Care Manager
What We’re Looking For:
- Trade qualification or relevant industry experience
- Strong knowledge of current construction techniques
- Health & safety awareness
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Methodical and detail-oriented approach
