Donna Quinn, a busy nurse and mum, found the perfect place to settle with her family at Cruden Homes' Cleddans Grove development in Drumchapel. Earlier this year, Donna, 37, moved from Paisley with her husband and five-year-old daughter. Relocating wasn’t an easy decision, but Cleddans Grove offered everything the family needed for work-life balance and quality family time.
During her visit to Cleddans Grove, Donna was captivated by the breathtaking views. She said, “The view is gorgeous! Our home overlooks the Kilpatrick Hills, and it feels like we’re away from the city’s hustle and bustle, even though it’s just a stone’s throw away.”
The green spaces around the development were a major selling point for Donna and her family. Their daughter loves exploring the outdoors, and Cleddans Grove offers plenty of opportunities for family adventures. With the Cleddans Burn trail and Drumchapel Park just a short walk away, the family can easily enjoy nature right on their doorstep.
“The garden was a huge selling point for us,” Donna added. “It’s perfect for our daughter to play in, and the surrounding parks give us so much space to explore as a family. You really feel removed from the busy life in Glasgow here—it’s so peaceful.”
Being close to her support network was crucial for Donna, balancing her nursing career and family life. The family’s new home is perfectly located near relatives for child care, while also offering easy access to essential amenities and great schools in the area.
“As a working mum, having family nearby is a huge help. Cleddans Grove allows us to be close to the people who matter, while still enjoying a beautiful and peaceful setting.”
Another advantage of Cleddans Grove is its ideal location. While surrounded by green space and woodland, the development also benefits from excellent transport links, connecting residents to Glasgow’s West End and the nearby suburb of Bearsden. With award-winning restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions just a short journey away, Donna and her family enjoy the best of both worlds.
“We’re so close to everything,” Donna says. “It’s easy to get to the West End or Bearsden for a day out, but at the same time, we have the calm and quiet of the nearby nature parks around us. It’s the perfect balance.”
Donna and her family also took advantage of Cruden Homes' Assisted Move Scheme to make their transition to Cleddans Grove even smoother. This scheme helped take the stress out of selling their previous home by allowing Cruden to assist with the sale, ensuring the family could focus on settling into their new life.
Donna explains, “The Assisted Move Scheme was a real lifesaver for us. It made the whole process much easier and meant we could move into our new home without the usual hassle.
“Everyone at Cruden has been great - moving house, especially with a young child seems really stressful to most people, but the whole process felt really smooth and easy.”
